Love the bad once to appreciate the good forever...
I had four steroid injections into my neck yesterday morning
(residual affects of my rear end collision from July).
So after my outpatient treatment I came home and spent time watching
a few old western.
I love the old West and all their characters.
I especially like movies with Randolph Scott, Alan Ladd, Tom Mix, Roy Rogers,
Clint Eastwood and John Wayne.
My favorite heroes and villains are Wyatt Earp, Billy The Kid, Doc Holiday,
The Lone Ranger and Butch Cassidy & The Sundance kid.
I also like all their creative quotes, like "He's so mean he'd steal a fly
from a blind spider," or "He had a voice like a burro with a bad cold."
Dozing off and on, I heard a quote that also stuck out.
After a long nap with an ice pillow stuck to my neck I decided to research the quote.
It was attributed to Mae West.
"A woman has got to love a bad man once or twice in her life
to be thankful for a good one."
The funny thing is that this old western quote is applicable
to pretty much everything we experience in life.
A relationship - a vacation - a meal - even our jobs.
Make it a grateful dia!
