Be happier - eat chocolate...
I had to research this a little further. Soon I found another article in the Journal of Proteome Research a scientific journal. In this article it stated that a daily consumption of just 1.5 ounces of "dark" chocolate during a period of two weeks was sufficient to modify metabolic changes in stress hormones. Stress hormones!
But chocolate fanciers there's more great news! According to the Mayo Clinic, "dark" chocolate actually contains flavonoids, which is a naturally occurring antioxidant. Much like the benefits of antioxidants found in some teas, red wine, some fruits and vegetables.
Their research showed flavonoids found in "dark" chocolate was associated with beneficial effects to both the heart and cardiovascular system.
It was also found to lower LDL or bad low-density lipoprotein cholesterol levels. Mmmm good.
I don’t have a sweet tooth but if a little bit of chocolate can bring me a little nostalgic feelings of happier times, then I'm off to buy some chocolate.
Let's all be happier today, go eat some chocolate!
Make it a great dia!
